Montinore Estate is thrilled to collaborate with Seattle's own San Fermo, to bring you an evening of regional Italian fare with locally sourced ingredients from Pacific Northwest, paired expertly alongside Montinore Estate favorites.
Hosted at San Fermo's cozy home on Ballard Avenue, the theme of the dinner is sustainability.
Both San Fermo and Montinore Estate recognize the importance of self-sustaining agriculture/viticulture and have taken active steps to further that ideal. For San Fermo, that meant purchasing a 140-year-old farm near La Conner, WA, to grow certified organic produce and raise livestock. All of the systems are integrated with composted manure from animals feeding the garden, and the gardens and orchards feeding the animals.
Montinore Estate can relate: we utilize nutrient-infusing and insect-promoting cover crops, create our compost and sprays and introduce livestock to our vineyards to take advantage of natural fertilizer.
This event is being hosted at San Fermo restaurant at 5341 Ballard Ave NW in Seattle, Washington.
