At the end of the 2014 vintage, there was a particularly nice wine produced from the northernmost block of Pinot Gris. This vineyard has a rather wild, untamed look about it and the fruit can be spectacular, producing wines with great character and style. We decided to preserve some of this wine and create a new label. Roulette examples the unknown that may come from the spin of the wheel--every vintage we will choose the best wine produced from Pinot Gris.
The wine opens brightly with ripe kiwi, melon and quince. The palate has a creamy mouthfeel with bosc pear, yellow apple and fig. The finish has notes of oregano, crisp early pear and a touch of lanolin. A really nice example to remind us of the wonderful 2014 vintage.
