Montinore Estate has deep Italian roots and is the proud heritage of the Marchesi family. We have built the Rossi di Marchesi collection around our love for Italian wines. In addition to a fan-favorite unique blend that reflects our Italian history with our PNW home, we have single varietals that are rarely seen in the United States, such as Lagrein and Teroldego. Whether you’re curious about Italian wines or already appreciate them, the Rossi collection has plenty to offer.
This exciting version of our beloved Italian-style red blend includes Teroldego, Lagrein, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo. The wine is balanced and inviting, characterized by beautiful acid/tannin interplay.
Lagrein hails from the most northern part of Italy and is a relative of Pinot Noir. Grown at the warmest spot on our vineyard, the Lagrein exhibits a characteristic inky, purple color.
An intriguing array of fruit-driven aromas and an equally fruit-filled and zesty palate characterize this unusual northern Italian varietal. Grown on our estate, this is an approachable and interestingly delicious wine.
