For us, growing grapes is the most important parts of the entire winemaker process, which is why we don’t purchase much outside fruit. However, occasionally we find vineyards that are truly special and we can’t help ourselves. In 2008 the Keeler Family planted their 25 acre, certified-Biodynamic vineyard in Amity. A mix of Dijon 115 and Wadenswill, the clones complement what is grown on our estate vineyard but reflect the terroir of the Eola-Amity Hills.
There’s no mistaking that this fruit comes from a different part of the Willamette Valley, expressing aromas of cola, dried roses, rum raisin and Fruit Roll-Ups. The soft entry of the palate leads to cherry Jolly Rancher and dark chocolate with peppermint notes and a long and lingering finish.
