Estate Grown- Biodynamically Farmed- family Owned

Montinore Estate is a family owned and operated winery in the Northern Willamette Valley that produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Muller-Thürgau.

Here we make wine only from the grapes we grow and farm 100% of our 230 acres of grapes using the strict methods of Biodynamic farming in addition to honoring Demeter's winemaking standards in our winery practices.

Our mission is to create unique wines that are true to their varietal characteristics as well as this special corner of the Willamette Valley.

Our tasting room and grounds are open to visitors daily.  Here you will have an opportunity to sample our core wines as well as small bottlings, and wines that can only be found in our tasting room.   We  welcome your visit.

2007 Almost Dry Riesling --
TWO and 1/2 STARS - Stone fruit of apricot, lime and tangerine and what can be imagined as a petrol hint and mineral on the ripe nose and bright, linear palate. Especially good for the price. --
The San Francisco Chronicle - 11/6/08

"Our single- and double-blind tastings consistently show Montinore making some of Oregon's finest wines - both whites and
reds. " -- Andy Perdue, Editor -Wine Press Northwest - 11/4/08

2007 Montinore Estate, Willamette Valley Estate Reserve Pinot Noir ($28): Owner Rudy Marchesi has done a remarkable job reinvigorating Montinore since taking over the reins in 2001. A pronounced emphasis on organic and biodynamic farming methods has produced a 2007 reserve pinot noir that should get nothing but better with age. Savory notes of ripe cherry and blackberry, spiced with hints of mild black pepper, make each sip delectable. -- Dana Tims -  The Oregonian - 11/17/08

Montinore Earns Demeter Biodynamic® Certification - After farming vineyards on both coasts of the United States for over 30 years, Rudy Marchesi says he finally gets it, “When you have been growing grapes as long and in as many different regions as I have you start to realize that the vineyards have a consciousness of their own, as they are living organisms and Biodynamic® farming addresses that reality.”  After establishing and farming vineyards on the east coast conventionally for 20 years, Marchesi assumed responsibility in 2001 for 230 acres at Montinore Estate, one of Oregon’s largest vineyards and wineries located in the Northern Willamette Valley.   Learn more>>

2007 Montinore Estate Willamette Valley Muller-Thurgau ($8): Montinore has done it again, offering a Muller-Thurgau that's the perfect aperitif at a price that can't be beat. The wine's aromas of grapefruit and fresh herbs are treats in their own right, but this low-alcohol delight really kicks into gear when paired with gorgonzola, pear chutney and sesame crackers. Its fruity, semi-sweetness finishes drier than it starts. -- Dana Tims - The Oregonian - 11/17/08
