A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris was co-fermented to produce this first arrival of White and Grey.
This playful wine has hints of peach, quince, pear, apricot, gardenias and honeysuckle on the nose.
The wine opens brightly with ripe kiwi, melon and quince. The palate has a creamy mouthfeel with bosc pear, yellow apple and fig. The finish has notes of oregano, crisp early pear and a touch of lanolin.
The 2015 Rosé is a stunning pink color with notes of ripe strawberry, raspberries and cream as the primary aromas, with some waffle cone and watermelon thrown in for good measure.
The vineyard block dubbed Swan Song during the 2010 vintage because of its losing battle with phylloxera finally succumbed in late 2013; this will be the last vintage we produce a Swan Song Pinot Noir.
Our Reserve Pinot Noir is a barrel selection from the best vineyards on the estate, with an emphasis on strength, depth and elegance.
We chose to highlight the acidity in this wine by picking a little earlier, more in the Tuscan tradition. There is quite a bit of lively fruit and structure in this wine, beginning with sour cherry on the nose and palate and followed by dried herbs.
