2002 Graham's Block 7 Pinot Noir

6 bottles per case | $30.00 per bottle | $180.00 per case

WINEMAKER'S NOTES
The initial aroma is a mix of dry flowers and blackberry with light earthy notes. Once this unfiltered pinot begins to open up cassis and sweet characteristics begin to emerge. This is a full bodied Pinot with flavors of black cherry, cassis, blackberry and blueberry. The fruit is supported by vanilla, roasted coffee, brown sugar and chocolate notes. The silky and smooth palate gives way to soft tannins and a long spicy, toasted oak finish.

The Graham’s Block 7 vineyard has four times as many vines per acre than our other vineyards. In 2002 the crop load was 1.7 pounds per vine, one third of the crop load in an average vineyard. This combination of high-density planting and low crop load yields grapes with very concentrated flavors.

ACCOLADES
“Montinore’s regular Pinot is finely made, but this is even better, all dark fruit and smoke. Drink in 1 - 10 years.” 3 stars -Food & Wine, Wine Guide 2006
